RESOLUTIONS

The committee hereby recommends Resolution 23-001 Tricare for Young
Adult Dependents be put forward to the membership at the state conference. This
resolution would require Tricare to provide the same level of coverage for
dependents as commercial plans. The committee further unanimously recommends
that this resolution be approved by our membership for submission to area/national.

The committee hereby recommends Resolution 23-002 VA Disability and
Retirement Compensation be put forward to the membership at the state conference
for consideration. However, it is the opinion of the majority of the committee that
the membership should vote “nay” on this matter. The reason is that this attempts
to address a symptom of an issue, rather than addressing the issue itself.

The committee hereby recommends Resolution 23-003 BRS Mandatory
Contribution be put forward to the membership at the state conference for
consideration. This resolution would require service members to opt out of the
minimum contribution within the first two years of their service. It would also put
certain restrictions in place to make it more difficult to opt out.
