EANGUT Mission Statement:

The mission of EANGUT is to improve the welfare, benefits, and overall conditions of the enlisted Soldiers and Airmen of Utah by providing a collective voice to our State and National legislators. We also support the mission and efforts of EANGUS.

EANGUT Priorities:

1. Membership: there is strength in numbers — by increasing the number of members on our team, we strengthen our voice at both the local and national level–EANGUT/EANGUS is the only organization completely dedicated to the National Guard enlisted members.

2.  Scholarships/Professional Development: Investing in the future of our members — by providing professional development to the enlisted force of Utah at our annual State Conference and scholarships to our dependents, we are investing in the future.

3.  Legislative Efforts: we continue to educate legislative members within the State of Utah and at the National Level on matters that impact the enlisted members of the National Guard.

We all have a story. Do you want to share yours?

The Army National Guard (ARNG), in conjunction with the Air National Guard (ANG), is an organized militia force and a federal military reserve force of the United States. The unique aspect of the guard components is they can be activated in a state role to support the Governor (e.g. State disaster) or in a federal role to support the active-duty components of the Armed Forces (e.g. War mission).

The National Guard is a separate reserve component of the United States Armed Forces (either Army or Air Force). The Armed Forces RESERVE component is a separate entity.  Members of “the guard” can work either full-time as federal employees or work part-time. “Part-timers” work a minimum of one weekend a month and two weeks per year. The majority of Soldiers and Airmen in the guard work on a part-time basis.

Enlisted Association of the National Guard of Utah (EANGUT) works closely with the National Guard Association of Utah (NGAUT) (comprised of the officer component of the Utah Army and Air National Guard). Together these two entities support the interests of the men and women of the Utah Army and Air National Guard in the state of Utah.
