The Federal Government issues an annual National Parks pass to servicemen and
women of all branches in recognition of the service member’s dedication to our nation.
Along with currently serving Service Members, this offer is further extended to retired
members of the armed forces and those Service Members identified as veterans.
EANGUT is requesting consideration for the State of Utah in this same or similar regard
pertaining to State Parks and recreation areas. Currently, all but 6 states within the
nation offer some form of free or discounted

Resolution Committee recommends this resolution for consideration during the 2022
State Legislative session.

No more offset for service connected retirees

I'd like to see the minimum rating of 50% for VA ratings done way with, so that all retirees regardless of their VA rating get their full retirement and full VA compensation

I'd like to see the offset of military retirement, for military retirees that are also receiving VA compensation but are rated 40% or less be done away with, the two benefits are two different benefits and are earned equally, therefore they should be provided equally.

A similar offset for surviving spouses who receive DIC (Dependency and Indemnity Compensation) and the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) was done away with earlier this year, so it is time to eliminate the offset for retirees that have a service connected rating through the VA of 40% or less.

Specifically, the bill provides continuing appropriations from state allocations for the pay and allowances of (1) members of the Utah National Guard Traditional force who perform duties in an IDT status during the period of laps in federal funding.
If a government shutdown occurs, the bill provides the continuing appropriations until the federal funds are acquired.
